1/48 MIG 3 OOB

Hello everybody!!!

This was my third project with airbrush, and was painted with both Tamiya´s acrilic paints and Humbrol enamels. One time experience…

ICM´s Mig 3, out of the box, with the adiction of lead foil seat belts+ copper harnesses.

The model was given some post shading, a soapy wash with pastels, and some paint chiping with the salt technique (prop, wings and fuselage sides)

Decals came from the box.
Thanks for looking, and please send some feedback and criticism.

Nice job. Funny how I don’t consider a Russian build. After seeing a Yak 9 at a recent show and now your nice build… I think its time for a little “red” on the shelf.

Looks great! I have one in my stash along with a IL-2m3, Stromo and a La-7. Now I’ve got a good excuse to build’em. I hope mine are as good as yours.[bow]

Nice job on a nice kit. Looks like you handled the wing root fit problem very well.

Regards, Rick

Muy bien!!!

Iosef would be proud… does ICM make good kits? i take it it has recessed lines, but is the detail pretty good?

Beautiful job on the Mig.

Very nice - I like the way the panel lines turned out. Looks like a nice kit - the detail is really sharp.

Nice job on the Mig. I like the panel lines being different amounts of shading. The dirty panel lines on a full scale airplane are very dark in some areas and almost totally clean in other areas

Looks awesome. Youre a little rough around the canopy (I can tell ya that one from experience LOL). The seat is a little uneven where it meets the seat support other then that its just a great great build.

Nice Job!

Great looking MiG mate-- one of my favorite Soviet birds…

Detailed kit indeed. I like the weathering it looks exceptionally awesome.

Thanks all for the feedback!
This kit was very funny to build, and at the same time a challenge for me…
Tricky assembly of Fuselage and wing roots, and very soft plastic!
But… until now was one of the funniest buids that i´ve made!

Wow,thats cool.

Very nice job on the MiG![tup] I really like your work on the weathering. You know it’s there but it’s not overwhelming. Well done!

Really nice buid of an unusual subject. [tup][tup] I like the weathering.
