Does anyone know of decals for a 1/48 A-10 in low visabilty? I have searched high and low to no avail. I would like a set with a mouth if it is protypical. My son is contemplating joining the Air Force to fly A-10s. Any info would be nice.
Whaz up Holley,
First off what scale is the Hawg??. Secondly the only markings that are done in black or “low vis” were the stars and bars, tail codes, buzz No’s and the data markings.
“Nose art”, sqd badges, command badges, tail flashings, some parts of data info markings and the like were “high vis”(9 out of 10 times).
With all the ref’s that I have on the A-10, what I have seen is how I described above. You may get on or two that could be in all low vis but that is rare.
Here are some decals that I have in my collection.
There is one set that has the “teeth” done up in black but I cant recall the # right now[:(]
Experts Choice:
#48-29 354th TFW (Gulf War), 110th FG Mich Ang
Super Scale:
#48-433 Dessert Storm Hawgs (closest you’ll get to low vis teeth art, tannish colored) 23 TASS, 511th TFS/10 TFW w/ nose art
#48-517 Desert Storm Hawgs 926th FG New Orleans
#48-432 Desert Strorm 74th TFS (Hi Vis teeth(mouth)) plus nose art
#48-367 Maryland Hawgs 104th TFS/175th TFG w/ nose art

In all if you can check w/ your closest hobby shop and look through the different decals that he/she may have. Also Two Bobs has A-10 decals but if they do a set w/ the mouth in “lo vis”, that I do not know
Good luck…!!! Flaps up,MIke
Thanks Mike,
One more question though, where can I order these? My search skills are not that great on the internet,( over 40 ) and I don’t really have a local hobby shop. Any help would be appreciated.
