1/48 Japanese "Kate" Torpedo Bomber-interior colors?

Hi all,

working on the 1/48 Hasegawa Kate torpedo bomber I picked up for $5 at a show. Not doing anything but out of the box for a display of Midway aircraft. The kit gives you colors to mix together to get to the interior colors, but they dont look right to me. Does any paint manufacturer make a Japanese aircraft interior color? I know it is kind of a metallic green color in some of the aircraft, I keep coming up with light avacado color. Any help would be great, thanks all

Tamiya XF-71 is close enough.

Thanks from me, too, Rick! I have the old Nichimo Kate in the stash, so I’ll file this for reference.

Try XF-71 and a little X-13 Metallic Blue mixed. I posted a model of a Nakajima Gekko twin engine night fighter that had the same interior color that you mentioned. Those colors mixed up pretty darn close to the actual color in refrence photos I used. I also thought it looked a little strange but accurate . I use XF-71 in my Japanese aircraft when I cant get a mixed paint quite right. I also agree, Its close enough! Good luck!
