1/48 Jagdpanzer IV L/70A ready for paint

This is my first completed 1/48 model in over twenty years! It’s the Gaso.Line conversion for the Tamiya Panzer IV ausf J kit. I modified both quite a bit. Click on the pictures to see more detail.

Here’s what I started with:

Yah put alot of work into it Roy. Lots of little details. Coming on nicely. Looking forward to your paint scheme.

Looks like it have been trough some major surgery here and there.
Indeed some extensive work [tup].

Can’t wait to see the final product.

Ben

Looking good!

Looking good Roy, great job on adding all that strip styrene in quarter scale! I’m sure it will be a build that is represent of your usual outstanding quality level. Amazing detail in 1/48th is what separates the men from the boys i guess. I’m currently debating on getting a 1/48th kit, I just haven’t got the 1/35th stash pile wittled down enough…

Keep us posted on the progress my friend,

regards,

Steve

Great job on this little gem.

Lookin’ real nice, 1/48 an’ all! Lookin’ forward to the paint, too!

Please tell me though, why did you choose 1/48 over 1/35?! [:D]

Thanks for the kind remarks, folks. The two kits (Gaso.Line and Tamiya Pz IVJ) were sent to me as a review sample from www.wingsntreads.com

I hadn’t planned on getting into 1/48 prior to this. I like it as modifications don’t require huge outlays of effort.

I cut my teeth superdetailing 1/72 aircraft so 1/48 and 1/35 are huge templates for me.

Really great job on the 1/48 scale. My eyes and fat fingers hurt just thinking about the detailing.[:o)]

Very nice conversion. I’m more impressed by the 1/48 builds all the time.

Regards, Rick

Thnx folks. Like I said, it’s my first 1/48 kit in many years. my first ever armor 1/48 scale.

Lots of fun to do. Can’t get so involved (am up to my eyes with my Renault Char B1 right now)

show us more pictures of this kit once it is painted.
