1/48 Hasegawa F-16A COMPLETE

Wrapped up this tonight - out of box except for the Verlinden ejection seat.

The kit really goes together nicely. I think after a 4 or 5 year hiatus, my future clearcoat is old and my testors dullcoat is old. You can see light white flecks after the dullcoat. I was able to knock most of it down after this pic, but… time for trip to the hobby store

Anyway - fun kit of one of my favorite subjects

Very neat work there.

I like it. One of my favorites too. I think I have 7 or 8 in the stash. And one built a long time ago

Nice work. I’ve found that Testors Dullcote can do that even when it’s somewhat fresh, too. Maybe it just needs to be shaken better than anything you’ve ever shaken before.

Very nice. One of my favorite jet fighters.

Thanks all. Ill try really shaking the dullcoat and shoot a test piece - thanks for the tip. I really like the dead flat it produces.

A well built and finished f16 did you paint it with enamel?

A fantastic finish to a legendary jet fighter! Excellent job sir.

Your friend, Toshi

Thanks guys.

I used Testors Model Master enamels, future for pre-decals, oil paint thinned with turpenoid for the wash, and testors dullcoat for the final cover.

Sharp work!!!

Beautiful bird, well done. Re: Dullcote, I warm mine in a pan of very warm water for a few minutes before shaking and spraying.
