Is the above-mentioned kit any good? Is it better than the Revell offering? Thanx!
The newer F-15E by Revell-Monogram is well done but the Hasegawa bird is the one that I would choose.
At the moment I’m finally painting my 262 so I’m only taking 5…!! So my above answer is short and sweet[:p]
Either way its your choice my friend(or it could may be dollar wise). To me they both make me happy since I have them both(one was a trade and the other was 1/2 price. Now thats what I’m talking about…[:p]). Depending on where you purchase your Hase or Rev 15E, the Hase could run anywhere from $30-40 and the Rev $20-30 giv or take.
Flaps up,Mike
My choice would be the Revellogram kit, though I’d try to find a ProModeler boxing, it includes ordnance. The "regular " Revellogram boxing has none.
Butz, have you been sneaking down here to grab more of that Stewart’s Key Lime? [:p]
Fade to Black…
The Hasegawa one is not a E version model; instead it comes out with some sprues for the ordnance, CFT’s and the cockpit to convert it to an E but the rest of the model is actually a D version. You can make a good D version out of it.
The Revelogram one is the only E model of the Eagle among the models that have been produced until now.

The R-M F-15E Strike Eagle is an excellent and accurate kit.
The fit also rivals if not better than the Hase kit. This case price is not an issue for the R-M kit can be had for $15-20 USD. The Hase kit build nice as Hase normally does, but it is just an F-15B with CFT’s.
The cockpit is wrong, the mains are incorrect. The pylons for the ordnance are incorrect as well. And what is really nice is the
R-M kit is very detailed. Pro-Modeler version has the ordnance included. But you cannot go wrong with either version from R-M. You don’t really need any aftermarket resin for this accept for maybe decals if you do not like whats provided. [;)]

Blackwolf,
Na it was one of those days that I really want to forget about…[:p][:p][:p][:p][:p][:p]
I knew about the “D” variant(thanx Brian) but I thought that later on Hasegawa made the “E” as well.

hmm… sounds really good indeed. i would just opt for the obviously more cost-effective R-M kit. Thank you guys!
I just picked up the Academy F15E.
It comes with CFT’s and a bunker buster as well as a full weapons set.
Very nice
I would go for the Revell/Monogram Strike Eagle. It’s less expensive than the Hasegawa kit and most of the issues of it include weapons, whereas the Hasegawa doesn’t.
