Hello everyone, this is my latest build, the Great Wall Hobby P-61A. This kit was fantastic to work with, and I am a bit sad to have come to the end. It was a big build, my biggest since getting back into the hobby.

My only negatives I found with this kit were there very small fine parts are extremely brittle! Even with great care and a fine razor saw they would still snap. The other disappointment were the decals, they are very thick and extremely hard to set.

It is OOB except for some lead wiring I added in the cockpit and landing gear. I used Tamiya, vallejo and Gunze acrylics. Flory dark dirt wash and the final protective coat is Vallejo Polyurethane Matte.

So glad to finally see this one built up with the steps to show it. I’ve been wondering how this all pieced together. It looks like a beast next to the P-38. Great build!! =] And I love lots of pictures…the more story to tell the better. =]

Hey Joe, canopies are a great fit mate, I had a couple of very small gaps but a bit of water thinned Kristal Klear applied with a small brush fixed them up.
