Greetings: While pulling up some references for one of my patients. I came across a very intresting version of the F-16A. The ADF(Air Defense Fighter) currently being used by the ANG. The article stated a aftermarket conversion part(replacement fin base) by aardvak models was used. I cannot find any online source or point of contact for this part. HELP…!!! Thanks.
RM makes an F-16 ADF kit in 1/48. I have it but I haven’t built it yet. It has raised panel lines (oh noes!!), the decals are pretty poor, and the cockpit (aside from the ejection seat) is way below RM’s usual standards. That said, it costs about $17, which is less than you’re likely to spend on a conversion kit. Your best bet is probably to use the F-16A kit of your choice and kitbash it with parts from the RM version. Or just use the RM kit with aftermarket decals and some photoetch in the 'pit.
