Hi, does anyone know where I can get one (preferably in the UK/Europe) i have a 1/48scale Revell kit and I was really disapointed at the cockpit - no pilots, no control sticks, poor seat detail…
The only kits I know of are for the Hasegawa Tomcats from Black Box and then Aires. I do not think they will fit in the Revell Cats. You can try though.
Excellent!! Thanks!! - I’ve found a distributer for the Aires mod kits here in the UK. The cockpit is for the Hasegawa, but I’m sure I can mod it to fit the Revell kit…
Good luck you may have to do a lot of sanding and cutting with a Dremel or other type tool for something like that. Best of luck to you.
Yeah, you are correct! I will have to cut away both the weapons officers and pilot sconsole frames, and some of the back bit, but I think it will be well worth it [:D]
I’ve ordered the cockpit, it should be here in a few days.
I’ve also seen a super detail landing gear made also by Aires. Again, it’s for the Hasegawa kit, but I might be able to mod the Revell kit…
Perhaps it will be worthwhile posting my results here for others??
