Absolutely awesome. The camo looks great finished up with the decals. Weathered but not overdone, same with panel lines. Those initial pics on the dio base with bg are very, very nice. [Y][Y][Y]

On a side note, that would be the first time I’ve ever commented on a WIP (albeit a little late) and 30 seconds later the finished build is posted. [:O]

Great looking clean build with fantastic soft edge demarcation paint lines. Excellent.

Sweet! Great photos, looks like Russian summer to me.

Wow! That is a pretty airplane. Nice job!

Thanks Greg!

Many thanks Greg. Glad you liked how it turned out along with the photos. Much appreciated. Your timing was perfect!

Thanks plasticjunkie. Glad you like the soft edge on the camo. I wanted to reflect that the camo pattern was applied in the field by the JG 54 ground crew, which would be less crisp than a factory paint job. The profile showed mostly soft edges as well. I was a little concerned that the edges would be too soft, but I’m happy with how they turned out.

Thanks John. Much appreciated. I like trying to add some interest by showing the subject in a relevant setting.

By the way – just for fun – here’s the result from the last time (40 years ago) I attempted to recreate a Russian summer Kursk scene.

Thanks Knox!

She looks the business Hoss! The weathering is beautifully restrained but still has a nice used look to it.

Thanks Chad. Weathering was the focus on this one. I probably could have “grimed” it up some more but I’m happy with the way it came out.

Superb work. Nailed it. FYI, for post shade weathering, try Tamiya XF-69 NATO Black mixed with XF-64 Red Brown heavily dluted with alcohol. You’ll thank me later.

Hi Hoss,

Absolutely brilliant modelling! Great scheme and paintwork.

Love it!

Thanks for sharing.

Best,

Nikola

Good looking 190 Hoss.

Thanks LD. I’ll try your recommendation. Looking forward to it. Thanks!

Thanks Nikola. Much appreciated.

Thanks modelcrazy.
