Does anyone know of anyone that makes this kit? I’ve searched high and low and haven’t been able to find one. And I mean injection-molded, not resin or vacuform. [:D]
well heller made a 1/48 scale E2c and its injection molded
I am not quit so sure that Heller made a 1:48, I do know they make a 1:72. Revell makes a 1:144. The only kit that I know of in 1:48 is a resin kit.
The Heller kit is 1/72. No one has made a 1/48 injection kit but it is always at the top of the list when FSM puts out there most requested kit list. Hopefully someone will do a good 1/48th or a 1/32nd E-2C.[:p]
Collect-Aire makes a 1/48 resin kit of the Hawkeye. Just released this year. Costs a pretty penny too. I’ve heard good things about Collect-Aire kits. Even though they can be quite the financial investment. See link below.
Fujimi made or makes a 1/72 E-2C. I have one in my kit pile and the pit area is VERY sparse…2 seats and 2 pilots. Otherwise looks like a good build. The decals are from VAW-126 on the Constellation, VAW-123 on the Saratoga or VAW-122 on the Kittyhawk.

The resin kit is too expensive for my taste.
Yeah, I’ve seen that one before…I prefer the $20-$50 range myself. [:D]
I’ve heard RUMORS that Trumpeter or Panda has one in the pipeline somewhere. It might just pay to wait a little bit longer.
Yeah, I’m not desperate or anything. [:D] Of course, I’d like Panda to hurry up and launch that 1/72 Globemaster III also.
