1/48 C-130

Hey Guys,
The 1/48 kit from Italeri, is an AC-130 Spectre right. Can you build the kit as a regular C-130, or are there exstensive mods? If it doesn’t offer a regular version does anyone make an accessorie kit to turn it into say an H model or so? Any help is as always greatly appreciated.

Wroper I believe that Italeri also made a separate 1/48 C-130 not the gunship. Hope this helps

They do offer a regular C-130 in 1/48, as I built the Testors-boxed Italeri kit about ten years ago. Great kit, I thought.

They offer both H and J models as well as the AC130H and AC130U

Italieri kit #0843 is a C130H. About $80 from Squadron.

The gunship and the H are the same model from Italeri. I have the gunship at home and all of the gunship parts are just add ons, if you don’t include them it is just an H model.

Sprue Brothers has the C-130J model in 1:48. The most visible change lies in the use of two 4700 HP Rolls-Royce (Allison) AE2100D3 engines, with six blade composite material propellers. Italeri C-130J Hercules II #2643.
