I’ve recently joined FSM and some of the welcoming members suggested I get some of my old builds posted. You may have seen some of these before as I am also a member on other fora.
I predominantly build USN jets, WWII Luftwaffe fighters and SAAF, but I like a wildcard every now and then.
I started building again in July 2011, so I’ll post the builds in order of completion, hopefully there’ll be an improvement!

Thanks Dre and Stikpusher, the Hobby Boss Mirages are good, a bit of work needed to iron out the fitt, but nothing too heavy. I hadn’t built any planes for about 10 years, it was really learning on every build and getting tips and tutorials from sites like this that helped me improve with every build.
Hey PB, stikpusher is right, you are really good! I like the way you displayed the F-14! Great idea! I have bought 1/48 F-15’s to do from every place I have been stationed and I might just do something like that with the patches! Thanks for the pics and can’t wait to see the ones to come!
Thanks Eagle 90 and dean27, I have some seriously overdue stalled builds, so hopefully those’ll be done in a month or three and ready to display here, along with all the other builds I just need the time to build!

This was the first time I’d used serious AM decals(Fightertown - love them to bits) and the MicroSol/Set system - what a difference they make to decals.
F-16N - used a resin seat and AM decals
Static wicks are toothbrush bristles
FW190A-4 Used PE for the belts and some Master brass barrels.
The antenna cable was made with a strand of my wife’s hair(human hair is elastic, fine and reacts well with CA). The isolators were made with a bit of PVA (white glue) and painted a light grey.
Me262A-1A Flash shot shows off the RLM81/82 well.
A bit of internal cableing was added with thin copper wire. The Morane antenna was made from a pin with a short piece of hair fine wire CA’d to its tip.
Now those are some sweet builds. The F-14 looks awsome. And great use of some unusal items such as the hair and toothbrush bristles. Being a big fan a German aircraft, i do like the 190 and 262, great work on the paint jobs.
