Been awhile since i really participated in the general Aircraft corner (usually busy within the groups) but i felt like sharing this 20 buck model with everyone hoping to show off some of the skills i have picked up during my membership here at the forum. The model in question is the " rabbit" from 527th FS, 86th FG. Pisa Italy 1944:
Because i screwed up the tail decals i had to spray the tail myself (a first time…). Finishing her up i decided on a 200 gallon center drop tank with 500 pounders on the wings. Paints are mostly revell

I’ve thought about building that particular Bolt since I picked up the ancient Revell 32nd scale kit with that aircraft featured as the box art. What decals did you use?

In reply to the questions: I have built a few Academy AC kits sofar and have to say they give alot of pleasure and quality in respect to the price you pay for them. Certainly not tamagawa but i would say " better than ok" if that counts as a classification… This particular kit just cost me EUR.14,95 and gave me heaps of fun.
The only drawbacks that this kit had was the wing/ fuselage join. It needed quite some effort to close the gaps up and also the seam runs right through the wheel wells…[^o)]. A more general comment about Academy kits would be their decals… Never have i built an academy kit that didn’ t have trouble with the decals, especially the larger ones. They are often of the wrong dimensions and very very thick.
I always loved the OOB quality of the canopies though…Clear as a bell and nice fit. Overall i would certainly buy an academy kit if it crossed my path, keeping an eye out for nice aftermarket decals at the same time[;)]
