1/35th Panther G in Normandy (completed build)

I just finished up this build for the Longest day GB. This is the Dragon Panther Ausf G with moulded on Zimm. I added some parts from an Aber PE set, but this was such a great kit I did not need all of the PE, I used about half of the set. The kit came with DS tracks and a one piece plastic barrel so I decided to use them, and the moulded Zimm was really nice, I normally add my own.

For paint, I had intended to use Vallejo model air. But while the DY went on ok, I was not to keen on the green so switch to my old favourite, Xtracolour enamels. I then gave it a really thin oil wash and added AK’s dust and earth effects for a duster but not to well used look.

The figures are a mix of Verlinden, Dragon and Mini Art.

Al comments, questions or suggestions welcome as always.

Excellent work![Y]

Thanks a lot guys, glad you like it.

Good Lord, Bish! I hope you’re not expecting those kind of results on my Panzer IV ! I’ll be happy to get a finished product half as nice. Man, that is some jaw dropping work! [Y]

Thanks Mike, much appreciated. And I have seen your WW1 builds, a Pz IV should be easy.

Well, there is all those road wheels. Just think of those as the rigging [:D]

Funny you should mention that, Bish. That’s precisely the approach I was going to use. [;)]

Very nice ! I like the extra detail of the little ditch.

Mike, just remember, no EZ line needed.

Thanks cobra. I do think is the little details on the base of a dio that can make the difference. I was trying out a few new things on this base including paper nettles which i like and some weeds, which i am not as keen on. They are rather big and you only get one size.

Great job on the Panther! One of my favorite German tanks.

Thanks Airborne, much appreciated. I am rather a fan as well, though I would have to say my favourite is the Tiger ( I know, that’s original [:)])
