My name is Tuan , i’m come from Viet Nam.

I’ve been play military model for 2 years . My favarite is war ship . Some time i did Tank or aircraft but is not good as ship .

If it was 1/700 I’d just sell my tools.

This ship was in San Francisco several years ago. I was “too busy” to go onboard, but in hind sight I should have.

Are those missile or torpedo tubes? The last two rows would have a “long throw” in not. Don’t know a thing about the class of ship.

Excellent job on this one, Tuan.

Those are missile tubes, Jake. This class of ships are primarily equipped with 16 P-500 Bazalt missiles for anti-surface warfare. They were designed to be carrier killers. (If they aren’t sunk by subs first)

Nope, as I said I saw it in SF in 2010. Of course it nearly hit a bridge.

Those missile tubes make it a really lethal deal against say a carrier task force.

if even 1 of 16 missiles can get thru a carrier battle groups Aegis defenses, something is seriously wrong. Now if there are several of these ships launching in concert with some Oscars and Backfires to swamp the defenses, that is a different matter…

Well, in 1990 it DID pass into new ownership!

BTW I see in the news that a USN helicopter ditched off of Norfolk. My prayers to the crew and to that part of Virginia, where they must have been based.

Very nice indeed Tuan, my build of this model has stalled at the moment, but I can appreciate the amount of work put in!
