Little project I’ve been working on. Tried different camo schemes. Tamya, Trumpeter, Dragon models. Just what if the German Bismark sortied with these ships instead, I wonder how things would have gone.
Graf Spree was long sunk when Bismarck went on his 1st & last voyage. the German destroyers did not have the sea legs to goto the mid Atlantic then back to Germany or France.

True that Graf Spee was sunk in late 1939 almost 18 months before the Bismarck’s voyage to her fate. But her sister ship Tirpitz did sortie into Norwegian and Arctic waters hunting Allied convoys to Russia in company of Graf Spee’s sister Admiral Scheer, cruisers Hipper and Prinz Eugen, Battle Cruisers Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, as well as destroyer escorts in 1942 and 1943. They just never had much luck on those sorties, but it was a serious threat.
