1/350 BB anchor chain

Hi all,

Since I mainly reside in the aircraft forum , I need advice from the ship building community. On the Modelexpo website, they offer three different sizes of anchor chain. They are: 22,12,and 9 links per inch. I’me leaning toward the 9 links per inch for 1/350 scale battleship.(Trumpeter USS North Carolina) Would this be correct or do I need something else? Thanks,

I was thinking of getting the same thing myself and didn’t know which one to get.

I got out my Tamiya USS Missoui 1/350 kit and counted the links, they came out 20 links per inch.

Now before I order any I’m going to wait for someone else to post if this is right or I’m off.

I have found Tiger Models very fine chain to be excellent for a 1:350 scale criuser to destroyer-sized projects. Tiger also makes a larger chain for BB/CV projects.

The very fine chain also works well on 1:700 scale heavies

I’ve gone to walmart and just bought some cheap jewelry to use as chains. you can get all kinds of sizes and lengths for a couple of bucks. but the they only come in gold or silver.
