1/35 Ural Rocket Guntruck

I very like unusual and prototype vehicles. This one fits to this definition well:

Ural4320 with a part of BRDM’s hull on a trunk, with UB-32-57 rocket launcher mounted on its turret… delicious

I started with BRDM’s hull. It is made with 3mm styrene

Main structure of the BRDM’s hull is ready.

Man, ain’t that strange! Where did you get that photo? Good luck with your build, have a nice day

I got this picture from my friend, who knows, that I’m addicted to unusual constructions :>

Now that´s a fun project! I can literally see the enemy commander saying ´Huh?´ seeing this thing rolling up the hill^^

This looks like a seriously fun scratchbuild of a truly unique subject. I look forward to seeing further progress!

side sights… small but time-consuming

…and more details

OK, now that is different! [Y]

This is going to be sweet.

Can’t wait!

Definitely qualifies as a unique subject, the scratch work is coming along nicely. [B]

thank you

minor modifications of the sights

You’re an artist. Saw some of your work over at the InScale site. Very impressive.

thanks Mike!

Very interesting vehicle, nice work so far!

thanks

rear doors and more details

Leave it to the Russians… [:)]

Will be watching this one with interest. Just out of curiosity, do you plan to use the Ural kit tires? From what I recall they’re grossly undersized, and the tread pattern may have been off as well.

Love the fact that we’re seeing more Russian cold war subjects on this forum finally.

I’m going to rework tires from the kit and cast them in resin. there are two reasons: first of all, rubber used by ICM and Alanger causes damages of styrene (plastic parts melting down). Second reason is a poor quality of tire’s details…

first attempt to the turret

slowly forward…

…but still turret’s shape is not correct
