This is pretty old news, but here’s a pic of Tristar’s new 1/35 Panzer IVD, which should be on sale any day now here in Japan.
Nice, if it is anything like their PzKpfw I early, then it should be a winner. Tamiya missed the boat when they did not retool the Ausf. D when they produced the new Ausf. H and J.
Man, there is going to be a lot of Nice IVs to choose from. This one looks beautiful, so Tristars C should be equally as nice. Then Dragon with both of their new IVs.
That looks like a great kit to buy. I wonder how it was to build?

Thanks for the picture, Brian. I am glad I sold off my Tamiya IV D’s last year. Is there any truth to the rumor that the Tristar Panzer IV C will be a limited run kit? I saw this on another forum and the owner of my LHS mentioned this as well.
Wow. Looks like I just found my next project.
Looks good! Although I love/hate those indie tracks!
Dan
Am I seeing correctly that the tire company name is molded on the tires??? Wow [:0]
The DML 3&1 Tiger also has raised rubber molding. This tristar kit is the first really decent Mk lV that I have seen in a while.
I’m already looking forward to seeing the side-by-side comparison on PMMS (though technically the DML and the Tristar early IVs are not exactly the same vehicle).
It’s amazing that they used these things (and early StuGs) with their stubby little howitzer to take on T34s – and defeat them.
PMMS hs it listed as “limited edition” as well.
This sure makes me want to finish up my “OD” builds, so I can get back into “German Camo”. The Tristar kits are pretty impressive looking up to this point! The old dated stash cries out for a fresh new member of the hoard! Trister! I see you in my future. Thanks for the update Brian. Semper Fi, Mike
