I am building the the above model the treads are in pieces and I cannopt get them to fit well. Doees anyone know where I can purchase rubber treads that fit this model? Will vinyl treads from an Amer ican Light Tnak (Stuart) work. I love Tamiya; however the plastic treads are crap in this kit. Any help is appreicated. Thanks. My email is jeffgbaptiste@hotmail.com. Welcome to the forums Jeff!

The Pz II kit from Tamiya features “link and length” tracks that are designed to fit directly onto the return rollers with small individual tracks to go around the sprockets and idlers and connect up to the long length that sits on the ground under the road wheels. It does take a little patience to get them together and unfortunately there aren’t any rubber treads out there that will fit this model. American Stuart tracks won’t fit at all due to the way the Pz II’s sprocket was designed (one row of sprocket teeth vs. the Stuart’s double row) so I’m afraid there aren’t many options available to you. The new kit sprocket has 26 teeth and the older kits (the F/G) had 25 teeth so even the older kit tracks (rubber band) might have fit issues…but you could start there and see if someone might have a set leftover from a build they don’t want and/or see about picking up that kit just for the tracks. It’s an older kit and can be had relatively cheaply if you look around online. HTH!
