1/35 Tamiya M1025 Humvee KFOR

Hey Everybody,

I just wanted to share some pics of my recently completed Tamiya 1/35 M1025 Humvee in KFOR service. It’s done mostly OOB (with the exception of the engine mesh for the grilles and the stowage)

Next to a MM paint bottle for size comparison:

And next to my Challenger 2:

Thanks for looking, Any positive/negative feedback is appreciated.

Chris,

Nice pics! This is my small stash also.

Hey,

well done. The Humvee looks like the vehicles my american comardes and friend used at Camp Bondsteel when i was down in Kosovo ( 3 tours ). The only point i do not really like are the dirty windows. In a countryside diorama , e.g. a checkpoint at the roadside in Gnijlane ( the village nearby Camp Bondsteel) than i can live with dirty windows, but in the camp all vehicles had clean windows.

greets

Thomas

Very nice, Chris!

I’m not much for the modern stuff, but I can tell a model that’s really well done!

A very nice job on both! [#toast]

That’s interesting my brother served a tour at Camp BondSteel with the 4ID back in 99 with a Engineering Battallion.

great looking build on both of them and the weathering is well done too.

Thanks Jeordicat, Tango35, Doog, and GA.modelmaker!

Tango35: The windows are actually pretty clean (maybe it’s the pics?) but they did fog-up when I was doing oil washes and it’s something i’m not sure how to fix[%-)].

Chris,

Love your modern armor there Townsy. Great job on the paint and decals. Weathering is just right.

Thanks Tigerman!
