1/35 sherman

Just need to add some final touches, stowage ropes and tie downs.

I like it. Looks like a wartime Sherm is supposed to. Like it went through hell. Whats with the battleship gray paint job?

Weathering is spectacular.

Battleship gray?

its the usuall olive green but has a very worn whitewash ,Ipainted it green first then airbrushed a diluted offwhite then when dry exstensive weathring. The coloures are clearer in the flesh, but i can see where your coming from it does look grey in the pics. thanks ,Andy.

Ahh. I see.

Very well then. Great build Bodge!

Hi,

I would definitely try to seal up the gaping seam there on the turret. Some putty and a repaint might be in order. Also, the stowage on the turret sides is a little suspect, it appears to be magically adhered?

Nice weathering, but as previously stated, the color looks a little strange. IMHO, the rust is a little overdone, but I suppose that is a personal preference matter.

regards,

Steve

It probably looks like red rust on the lower parts around running gear, this is actually mig european dirt as the soil is a redish colour in many regions in Europe and i dont think mig productions would get the colour wrong. I didnt even notice the seam line until you mentioned it, i will have to sort that out and as i mentioned on description i had still to add ties for stowage which have been done but i havnt updated photos yet , cheers, you guys dont miss a thing, Andy.

Nice Sherman Bodge!! I like the paint and weathering…good work. What kit and scale? Is it the Tamiya 1/35 M4A3?

It is the Tamiya kit, i might make a Dio for this in future?

Very nice Sherman. I like the well used look. Having used the MIG Euro Dust on a couple of builds, I’ve also noticed that it looks more like rust in pics than when viewed in normal lighting.

Regards, Rick

Thats alright then i thought i was going mad or colour blind? Dont answer that.

Nice whitewashing.[:)]

I really love the weathering on your Shermie. Whitewash looks good. I’m surprised nobody mentioned the stowage on the rear deck wasn’t tied down, a usual observation. Keep up the great work.

Looks nice but is that a modern day ALICE pack on the right side of the turrent? Looks like one.

Jesse

I would guess that it is probably because he mentioned in the opener that he needed to add tie downs.[:)] Eric, have you had your coffee today?

regards,

Steve

[D)] Wow, am I a dolt! My humblist appologies. I guess I didn’t read that, because I was admiring the pics. Sorry bro!

Actually Steve, I even knocked down 2 pots of the stuff today. I feel pretty good too.
