The panzerjagerwagen is complete and ready for paint, the locomotive will be finished and ready for paint in a couple days. Going to link the two of them together on the same track.

I have this in my stash half built. What are you going to do about the HORRIBLE FIT of the flatbed to the car without destroying the diamond metal texture?
Mine actually was’nt that bad…only one side had a slight bow, but it did take some convincing. I was thinking stowage or just putting that on the backside of the display. That might be a question for wbill76, his model was the insporation for my build.
I built the Volume 1 version and dealt with the gaps by not gluing the sides to the wheel wells so they had some flexibility left at the tops. Then it was a matter of using several large rubber bands and judicious amounts of liquid glue to get everything together. There were small gaps but nothing really bad. Smeagol may have a heat-damaged or just a badly molded kit, hard to say without seeing it. As far as sanding and not losing the diamond plate detail, sanding twigs or using small strips of hobby sanding film glued to toothpics is my preferred way of working in tight spaces to avoid losing too much detail in the process. HTH!
Time to start weathering and build a base

That’s a very cool subject, and looks like you did a great job, Brutus, please keep us updated.

Might be a llittle late, but the black / red paint scheme didn’t come into use until post-war. All German locomotives left the factory in overall dark grey during the war years.
You still have those horrible gaps on the side, why paint before fixing them?
