how do i sell and pack it without breaking things off. and what should i do to cover my butt if it breaks during shiping.
Not sure what to tell you. If you cant take the rotor blades off Id suggest cutting some styrofoam to fit to it, then use like news paper or something to fill in the gaps.

Use plenty of paper roll to act as cushion. Then use mask tape to secure it so it will not move around in box.
Yea, take it appart into as many small sub assemblies as you can, pack them all nice and tight, and secure. I do recomend styro foam, just cut it to fit the shape you need. Dont leave anything rattling around.
I ship models all the time, to include large-scale helos, and all over the world. The best way to ship them is to get a box a few inches larger in each direction. Put a layer of packing peanuts on the bottom, then place the model in. Fill the rest of the voids with more packing peanuts. Slightly overfill the box so the peanuts are tight and the model is not allowed to move around. There may still be some minor breakage of small items. As long as you tell the buyer that small breakage can occur and you are not responsible for breakage, you should be good.
Don’t go the newspaper and styrofoam block routes. They will allow too much movement and the model will break up. I found this out the hard way when I started shipping them many years ago. Since using the peanuts method, I have had almost none damaged.

[dto:] The packing peanuts are your best method to keep things from shifting. Take the blades off and secure them, reducing the size of the box. Just remember that some small parts may come off during shipping, it is normal. Insure it for what you sold it for and include it in the shipping. Keep the USPS receipt handy in case the model gets trashed so the buyer can then be reimbursed thru the Post Office.
