1/35 Dragon Bergepanzer Tiger (P)

Hello friends. I’m still caught in the 1/35 world! Here is my latest addition, the Dragon Bergepanzer Tiger (P). This is my frst Dragon kit and I think I was spoiled by the few Tamiya armor kits I’ve built. [:$] The details on the Dragon kit are more refined but the directions were a PAIN! My next technique challenge will be to refine my track painting skills. Comments and feedback are certainly welcome. Thanks for looking! [B]

This kit is on my to buy list so really nice to see it. Really nicely finished. The main thing missing on the tracks is more wear.

Did all that chain come with the kit. Dragon instructions can be hit or miss, they do seem to have improved with later kits. I found their new Panther ones just brilliant to work on.

Thank you for the feedback! The chain did come with the kit. It also came with flexible metal tow cables which I found to be much more realistic than the string you might find in a Tamaya kit. The build was very straightforward and most enjoyable! The one downside was the lack of extras that you could imagine you would find on a vehicle like this. Spare tracks, fuel canisters, etc. I don’t quite have a extensive spare parts box yet so I didn’t have anything to add.

Dragon kit do tend to help fill up the spares box, but not much in the way of other kit. certainly helps to have a good selection of accessories.

Welcome to Dragon models. There hasn’t been a set instructions in their kits I built that doesn’t leave you wondering what in the heck are they asking you to do. Or better yet leave the part out of the instructions and not knowing until you look at the last drawing and you notice the part sitting there.

Very nice work on the Bergepanzer. Always like the look of the Porsch Tiger hull.

Construction and painting are solid. Camo is nicely done. That is a nice looking armor model. Congrats on doing such a good job!

Nice clean build and paint.

Yea, it really is nice crisp work. Well done.

Looks pretty friggin’ good to me. You’ve got the basics down, which is the important part. I’ve seen a lot of models with advanced paint techniques and weathering knocked down at shows for simple things like seams etc.

And you can always do the cowardly thing I do with tracks and just spray mud coloured paint all over them… [:$]

Very nice clean build. The Camo. came out great.

Thank you my friends for the kind words and suggestions! I really do appreciate your comments. [:)]

MM,

Wonderful build sir. The camo and weathering look sharp! The chains that Dragon supply…are they of a light weight metal or plastic?

Thank you! They are a lightweight metal chain. Very easy to work with!
