1/35 CyberHobby Brummbar (Late)

While stripping the Panther II, I also decided to strip my Brummbar which I completed a little over a year and a half ago pictures here: http://cs.finescale.com/fsm/modeling_subjects/f/3/t/163669.aspx

My goal with this refurbishing was to really experiment with chipping, drybrushing & the effects of different washes and filters to break up the boxy look of the Brummbar. Model was painted with vallejo paints and weathered with MIG products. Chipping and drybrushing were primarily done with Tamiya acrylics. Comments and Critiques welcome![B]

Thanks some really nice work.

Your first paint job looks good but I’ll agree with Karl the whitewash did look a little ‘off’. The second paint job is a big improvement. I think the worn look came out really well.

Your Panther II looks pretty darn good too.

Nice finish on this, i like you have not gone to far with the chipping, loks just right.

I have to say i do rather like your white wash, very realistic, i would only say there probably should have been more of it.

Looks much better.

I admire that you took the time to redo a kit. I’ve really only done it once before and I was mixed on the outcome.

Thanks for looking everyone! I plan on trying the white wash again on a different tank down the line. For anyone interested in stripping paint off models, simple green was an effective alternative to some of the more corrosive options out there.
