1/35 Canadian Centurion

Hi

I’m looking to build a Canadian Centurion Mk 5 based on the AFV kit. Are there anyt decal sheets available for vehicles that were in Canadian service?

Thanks

Look on Armored Acorn.com for your references. It is a site dedicated for modelers to get accurate markings & references for Canadian armor.

Ultracast not only makes resin figures but decal sheets as well. They cater to Canadian subjects as the company is based in Ontario.

Looks like ultracast’s stuff is all WWII. Anyone know a company that does modern Canadian decals and accesories? I have a Leopard 1 just waiting to become a Canadian C1. Maple Leaf models went out of business, and I was emailing him for a while, hoping he’d start up again. No luck!

Anyone?

Mike Grant Decals

He is based in Calgary Alberta, Canada and will custom print any decal to any scale you desire.

I believe FSM had a previous article on printing your own, should be a good first project as I recall the modern Canadian armor has fairly simple markings. In fact just a black maple leaf and some numbers? That could be masked with the numbers sourced generically.

Thanks I’ll check him out. The Canadian one I have seen is a black maple leaf with a thin white border around it. So you’d need 2 masks, 1 slightly larger than the other.

I have always wondered why more flosk don’t make quckie masks and paint the markings on, avoiding decals altogether?
