1/35-1/32 scale question

hey guys, im working on an iraqi diorama. it has an M1, a hummer, an SA-2 site, and a proposed blown up BMP(havent started), and a AH-1W. what i was asking is that if i had my way i would like a Mig-21 in the sand with a hasty sand camo on it. but alas, there are no 1/35 aircraft. my dad said “use 1/32” i said that you would be able to notice, but would you really?

Unless you had a scale ruler as part of your diorama 99% of folks wouldn’t know difference. Go for it! Only if had the same type models side by side would you really notice the size difference.

That’s what I was thinking, too. I’ve seen/heard of a lot of people using 1/32 cars in dios with 1/35 armor and you can’t really notice the differences.

I say, if its what you want to do, then go for it! But most importantly, post some photos so we can see it, too!

There isn’t that much difference(unless you’re a rivet counter) most people won’t know the difference, so go for it

Have to agree with the others above. 1/32 and 1/35 are close enough to mix, even figures. As long as constant items are the same scale; weapons, packs, canteens, etc. The scale diferance will not be noticed. Just take a look around at people, no two are the same size, therefor figures can be different sizes as well.

I mix 1/32 cars, helos, aircraft, and planes with 1/35 armor and accessories all the time. Check my showcases below to see some.

Sounds like an interesting dio, big, but interesting. Be sure to post some pics when done.
