1/32 Trump TMB-3 Avenger FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well moving along on the bench after finishing my M4A1 Sherman, Its now time for a monster of a build, and I mean MONSTER. Im starting Trumps 1/32 TBM-3. This thing is HUGE!!!

Stay tuned

OOOOOOOOO AAAAAHHHHHHH, WIP it up…GO, GO, GO!!!

I can’t wait to get my mits on one of these!!!

M1, what are your plans? You could spend a year detailing that beast. I’m anxious to hear what detail the kit provides and what you may have to add to suit your taste. Looks like fun, Good luck. Rick.

This should be a good one. Can’t wait to see it.

I got this kit in the stash, so I’ll be following this one. That way I can see how to do my own. [;)]

Fermis - whats taking so long…go get one.

Wabash - this kit provides a stink load of details. Two frets of photo etch, rubber tires on and on and on.

Jet, B17 - stay tuned

Ok to get an idea of the sheer number of parts in this kit. I laid out all the sprues and goodies on a 5 1/2 foot long display case and it took the whole thing up…LOL.

I got the first part of the engine completed and the detail is sweet!

More to come

Bob

These were on sale at my local shop a while back. I didn’t get one, I kind of regret it. Looks like a great kit!

MZ - not to make you sick about missing the sale but when Ed Schnable and I attended the Person show I walked passed this guys table. He had a few kits on it, one of which was this one. As I glanced at the tag on it I thought it said $150. On my second orbit around the room I stopped and looked at the tag and it was $50…SCHWWWWWWWWIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGG! I walked this puppy right to the truck then went back in…LOL.

How much was it on sale for???

Bob

OM NOM NOM NOM must have more avenger. wow that looks like a nice kit.

I have 2 options for Hobby shops, one are a bunch of retards and only order in the “cool” kits (109’s, spitfires, mustangs etc) And the other is still talking to trumpeter to try and get their kits in. so my chance of seeing this float by are pretty slim. id have to get it online.

Cant wait to see more though.

Scorpio - Im still laughing at your post (retard thing), holy cowe I think I wet my self…LOL

Your best bet is online. I like Sprue Brothers and they seem to be the best priced that I have found. I have a habit of checking GMs super sales, sometimes they have a Trump kit blowout.

Bob

Ah here you are brother. I was doing the mental coin toss of whether it was this or the F-4. You’re gonna need to buy paint by the quart!!! I’ll most assuredly be following this one. Build on! Cheers Dave

I’m still waiting for about the same deal you got. It’ll happen one day!!! I’ve already set a limit of $65.

Excellent detail on this one. Should be a fun Build. Keep us posted.

Regards, Rick

I got mine of ebay for $45 [t$t] Of course with shipping the big kit, the total was around $65. Some times ebay is a great deal! Even got a 1/48 Fw 200 Condor for under $50

It was $40 something. [:(]

$40 HOLY COW TURDS! Man I would have scrounged to buy two at that price.

I got some more work done on the accessory unit and on engine group.

this is complete after the rockers were installed and dry brushing was completed.

More on the way.

Bob

That is rolling along nicely brother. [Y] I hope everything is going well.

Dave

I am kicking myself in the butt for not getting one. They had been sitting on the shelf for years, then were put in the sales bin. I looked at them, thought about it and decided not to get one. Then they sat in the sales bin for a while. I decided to get one, and of course, when I went to get it they were gone.

Looks good so far.[t$t] Are you going to do some wiring to the engine?

Dave - thanks brother

MZ - keep your eye open in the ebay and check sprue brothers sales

Jet - Im debating it. I tend to construct my models out of box as is, however I keep looking at this and its begging for some. Ill make a decision shortly whether or not to wire.

Well I got some more of the engine done. There are a lot of parts that comprise this and it is a little model in and of itself.

I had to open up the main exhaust:

looks much better now:

I got the other exhaust plumbing in as well:

More to come shortly
