Guys,

I was wondering if anyone here has a definite answer to this question about Anton Hackl. I did some searching but I can’t find it in black and white. The question is, did his G-6/R-6 have the 20 or 30mm nose cannon? I know that the 30mm was in short supply but, I already drilled the hole in the nose to reflect the use of the larger cannon. Or, was the cannon omitted to save weight since the addition of the other two 20mm?

Along with that, what are you guys using for canopy masks? Are u using the die cut or other methods? I am about ready to paint the ME-109 and was just wondering what the pros use.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To the best of my knowledge, the 30mm cannon was not introduced on the 109 until the G-14.

I am reading the squadron signal publications and it says that the 20 or 30 mm cannon was available. Is the Squadron publication incorrect??
