Just saw one at Hobby Lobby tonight and almost bought it. But I thought about it and I think I want to see some reviews first. Which is my problem. I checked my usual sites with no luck. I was hoping someone could give me some ideas what to expect with this kit or a link to a review.

I had no idea revell had one either. Which is why I was curious about it. Thy had the 1/32 wildcat that comes with the book as well. I was tempted by that too. By the way what is the old Revell tomcat like?

Again I think it was Revell that brought it out some time ago… Actually I have not seen one in the box or built up… For me thats rare…!!!
The next time you go to your LHS, see if you can take a peek inside the box. Somewheres on the sprue tree or on the decals it might say who the old mfg was?? Just guessing though because a few other 48th kits from AMTech had the old mfg on the sprue as well as on the molds… Ex: the P-40(Ex AMT/Ertl)

Revell first released their 32nd F-14 back in the 70’s. I built the kit, but it was a long time ago and although I remember it having many fit issues, I can no longer recall exactly what they were. They may be addressed in THIS online review, the only one that I’ve come across for the Revell kit. There was one on Large Scale Planes, apparently, but it seems to have disappeared. In any event, you may be able to get something out of this review…
