Having built the Revell Spitfire I and also the Seafire IB over 30 years ago, I thought that they were the same basic kit at that time. Is it true that they are the same basic kit? The new classic edition of the Mk 1 should be the same as the Seafire. I remember that the Stokes filter fit over the intake on the Mk I. The reason I ask is that I can get 2 Seafires for the price of one Spitfire.
Yes they are. The Seafire kit just comes with some extra parts. I bought a 90s issue of the Mk I Spit and it had the Seafire parts in it…tailhook, chin scoop, etc.
Thank you Stik, as I can get a 2 for 1 deal, and build both versions just like the originals from back in the 70’s.
