Been a while in the planning stages and it’s time to get started. There’ll be a few changes along the way making this build a little different.
Starting with the Merlin Engine. I built a stand since she’ll more than likely be sitting a long time.
I ordered some Tamiya Metal Primer yesterday that I should have ordered 2 weeks ago.
Cheers
All Engine parts primed with Tamiya Primer
Followed by a coat of Semi-Gloss Black

Nice start! I’m looking forward to the rest of the build!

Spent the day picking out details. Lots more work to do on the Engine.
Cheers
I give, Rob, who or what is IMCTH?
Looks great thus far. Really love seeing kits with this level of detail.
OOOOOOOO…a naked Mustang, this is going to be a gooder.
She will be 1/2 naked. Starboard side will be covered with aluminum panels.

Merlin engine is too clean. Ya gotta dirty her up! This is gonna be a good one…
They all start looking new. Patience grass hopper.

That is what I call a bare bones build LOL.LOL.LOl. I like that level of detail . T.B.
I always love the level of detail on these bigger models!!! I built the 1/32 FW-190D9 and I only added half the detail I could have. That Merlin looks great so far.
Hi;
You know , with all that detail on the Merlin , I fully expected cylinder liners too ! T.B.

That’s amazing! I’ll be following for sure!
Today, I made the Port Side Exhaust Shields out of Aluminum sheet. Don’t ask how many I made. I’m probably going to make a new outer shroud. I don’t like the way the exhaust holes came out.
