1/300 f-15?

I’m looking at buying a 1:300 scale dc-10 model and converting it to a kc-10 tanker. I know there is a Revell kit in 1:144 scale that comes with an F-15, but I think that is a litlle to big for the space that I have in my hobby room.

Is there such a thing as a 1:300 F-15? or is that too small?

Whats your hobby room? a box?? Not enough room for anything bigger than 1/300?? Just kidding. But it is an odd statement…Harv

I was under the impression that a 1:144 scale kc-10 still had like a 14-15 inch wingspan…

…but I could be going off of bad info :stuck_out_tongue:

I hope others with more knowlage of smaller scales will chime in, but I believe a 1/144 wingspand on the tanker would not be more than mabey 4-6 in. I think your thinking of 1/48, mabey…Harv

KC-10 has a 155 ft wingspan which yields an size in 1/144 scale as about 155/144 feet or 1.05 feet, about 12 1/2 inches.

You can probably find a 1/350 F-15 for Aircraft Carrier models but you’re not likely to find a KC-10 in that scale.

If you go to the photos for the 2008 Alamo Squadron contest site you should find a photo of a 1/144 scale KC-10 refueling something but I don’t recall what aircraft was being refuelled. The overall length of the display was about 30 inches.

thanks man. that clears things up.
