1/250 IJN deck crew

My name is Dave and I’m building a 1/250 Yamato. Does anyone know if a deck crew is available and if so where?

Hi Dave! I can’t help you but if you go to the “Ships” section of these Forums and ask your question I am sure you will get a lot of answers. The members there are very knowledgeable and ready to help.

Hope that this helped.

Welcome to the Forums!

Which kit, Otaki or DeAugstini subscription kit?

1:250 scale is a (child born to an unwed mother) scale. There that will fix the nanny-bot that disapproves of certain words. It is mostly a paper model scale with a few — usually one-of-a-kind kits in other materials.

There are no commercial IJN crew figure sets in this unique scale. There may be some in 1:200 or 1;144 scales, both are more popular. You may have to contact one of the 3D print designers to have them rescale what they have in these other scales to your requirements

200 scale figures on a 250 scale subject will be about 20% too large and will look distracting

You may have better luck by searching for 1/250 scale figures in architectural supply houses. It’s an unusual scale for plastic modelers, but it is pretty common with architects and there are plenty of options for poses - it’s converting them over to IJN service that will be a challenge. You may have to perform a bit of surgery and get creative with the putty, but at this scale, it isn’t that hard to turn civilians into sailors. Here’s a link to just one example, including both male and female forms:
