The instructions have you glue the interior panels to the exterior panels before constructing the cockpit.It was far from clear as to the proper alignment,so I attached the outer panels together first.Had I done otherwise,I probably would have been way off.
Yeah, that was one of the assembly steps that should have been done differently in the instructions. I think I had to reassemble one of the inner side assemblies because it wasn’t lined up right.

I’m not sure what I’m gonna do about the floor.The instructions call for silver,but it has a texture to it the rest of the interior doesn’t.I think I’ll go with grey to provide a bit of contrast.
I would have liked it better if they hadn’t given it that texture.
Current and very irritating progress.I cannot get the dash to fit the rest of the interior.
I’m beginning to understand the problem here.DO NOT install the dash to the outer wall as instructed.Like the rest of the interior panels,there is no way to determine proper alignment.I do believe I’m gonna have to raid my second tumbler kit for replacement parts.
From what I remember it was a little stubborn. The main thing is to make sure the dash is attached correctly to the front wall…in your photo it looks like it is…and make sure the inner side walls are attached properly to the outer walls. Each end of the dash is shaped to fit precisely with the ends of the inner walls. From what I can tell it looks like everything is right. The tabs on the bottom of the dash didn’t meet the slots perfectly. It might have been a little warped. I had to coerce it all together a little but it went.
Hold on. Don’t raid your other kit just yet. If you are absolutely certain the sides are lined up right and the dash is with the front wall then it should go in. It is a little tricky but it will fit if everything else is lined up right.
Also, I did attach the dash to the front wall and then to the interior assembly as the instructions suggested.
I followed the instructions and it ain’t working.The dash is attached to the outer wall way to high to fit at all.There is no way I can separate the parts without destroying them.
It looks to me like you have it on there right. That’s exactly how mine looked. Did you use CA or cement to attach the dash to the front wall?
If I could see the interior assembly and the dash/front wall assembly from other angles I might be able to tell if something is out of whack.
Trust me,it’s out of whack.The bottom of the dash attaches to the interior floor.The outer panel attaches to the lip a little higher than the interior floor.I have the parts glued together flush at the bottom.I’m fooked and will have to raid the other kit.
Yeah, I see what you mean now. I was trying to visualize exactly how it fit together but I’ve already forgotten all that. If it was me I’d try to get a saw in there and cut them apart. That’s what I had to do when I got one of the side assemblies lined up wrong. But you gotta do what works best for you.
