1/24th Old Workshop

Thought I’d post my shed dio for all to see. This started as an idea for a photographic backdrop as I was looking for a better setting to shoot my cars against, but it got out of hand and turned into what we’d all call a diorama.
With the exception of the car parts most of it is scratch built, the only bought items being the drill press, trolly jack and the bench grinder. The rest of the stuff I built as required.
My idea was to try and make it fairly date neutral, so it could pass for a 60s, 70s or newer shed depending on whether it had a custom, stock retso or modern hot rod sitting in it.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks

Very nice!

Outstanding! [Y]

Glad you posted a shot of the whole thing. It looks so good at times I wondered ‘is this REALLY a dio?’ [;)]

Gotta love the models in the display case. [snYea]

Really cool, I too love the models in the display case.

Really SOOPAH work ! [:D][Y]

I can almost hear that air compressor running…[:O]

Impressive!

I hope your 1/24 scale mechanic wears safety glasses when using the grinding wheel…[whstl]

Oh yeah, it’s a beauty - very realistic, and those models in the display case are just outstanding. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

This should be on the cover of FSM. I am in awe at the attention to detail here on every little item. That aged, rough cut pine frame on the door is perfect.

Thank you everyone, I’m glad you all like it.

That’s some great stuff! Loving the model display case!

Now that’s impressive. Thank you for posting.

Wow! How cool is that!

That’s terrific work, very atmospheric both inside the shed and outside. It’s great to also see the diorama sitting on the table … gives you a good sense of how bit it all is.

Well done, congratulations on a fine dio.

very good work, how/where did you do/get the corrugated iron?

Beautiful diorama![Y]
