In process of building the Revell Germany 2011 Mike Rockenfeller DTM car and the rims and tires with this model are a bit lacking, searching the net I’ve found various types of rims etc… but I don’t know what I’m doing and before I spend money on what I think is the right stuff figured I would ask…
I’ve seen 1/24 scale rims on various websites but they all have no tires, sooooo… off I go looking for tires and I find alot of those but how do I ensure that I have the correct rim/tire package?? It doesn’t appear that I can match up a set of rims and tires for certain cause I cannot find a 1/24 scale kit that contains the rims and tires. Respectfully request a learning on how to figure out the aftermarket rim/tire world for a 1/24 scale DTM car.
Those Ma’s Resin tires shown are really aoshima model kits tires. Many of the low pro file styles show were sold through a company called American SATCO. Some still sale on Ebay.
An there’s alot of folks out there copying them and using that sorry Micro Mark TCR-40 Tire Rubber. So look close at the shine on the rubber and if it’s that MM TCR rubber pass on them. “American SATCO” tires don’t have a shine to them. Don’t get suckered and buy cheap copys. An no I’m not stating the Ma’S Resin tires are cheap copys but just look out when buying tires of a particular type of product.
