I don’t want you to think that I have knocked this Stuka out since my last posting of the Cutaway Spitfire!!![:O]
This Stuka was built last year for a competition here in Bulgaria and I thought I would share it with you all.As you can see I am obsessed with doing cutaways and this one is the Airfix 1:24 scale. It took me about 6 months to construct and all the detail in wings was completely scratch built.Extensive detailing was done on the Engine and a lot of the detail behind the walls of the fuselage is scratch built.
There is quite a lot of photos to show because of all the detail…I hope you enjoy looking at it !
My Lord!!! That is a work of art!!! The level of detail is just mind blowing!! That engine looks like the real thing, down to all the plumbing. My compliments to you Sir![:D[ [t$t] [Y]
WOW! I am not worthy! [:D[ Your website is amazing. How did you do the seat for your Sopwith Camel? The Jumo looks like you could just start it up right there. Beautiful work![Y]
Pardon my ignorance but what is the propeller “thingy” on the starbord landing gear faring? Is it the siren sound generator that Stukas were infamous for?
Cheers mate…and thanks for taking a look at my website!..to answer you question about the wicker seat in the Sopwith…It took me 2 days to build…the frame work is small electrical wire ,the seat is a piece of Balsa wood covered in lumpy paper !! and the woven part is threaded cotton in between the frame work…that was the hardest part and the most laborious work [bnghead]of the whole build!!!..and then painted.
No …your not ignorant and yes it was the Wind driven Siren!!!..the pilot would activate it when the aircraft was in a dive…bloody frightening sound…but thats the whole point isn’t it?..to terrorize the people on the ground!
Just went to your site and dude its freakin’ unreal![:O] Your attention to detail is just incredible and surely an inspiration. I like to scratch build details to my models to add my own personal touch. I have a 1/24 Bandai George in my stash that I want to add a lot of scratch details, specially the instrument panel that has to be replaced with the correct one. The larger scale makes it easier to work with, and even goes easier on my eyes . Again, my hat is off to you Sir, you have amazing skills! [t$t]
Well thanks again mate!..I guess it takes time and patience. As it says on my website…That I started doing this since I was a kid…plus the fact that I took early retirement which gives me even more time to model…I have plenty of patience so that if something dosn’t look right I’ll do it again until its right!!!
If you have a problem with your 1:24 Bandai George …if I can help I will.
