Noel,
I saw a completed one displayed at Lil’s in Megamall alongside a 1/24 Jadgpanther. Looks like a great kit. The tracks looks finely detailed, too.
It’s 1/25 actually, and not a bad kit at all! I thought it was going to be mostly based on their old copy of Tamiya’s 1/25 Panther A, but it looks like they fixed a bunch of problems with some new molds and made it a decent kit.
The tracks…not bad detail but, they are of the sproingy-boingy vinyl belt variety, which to me looks worse than the old clunky single link trax that came with the old releases. But, if you can get that convincing Panther sag into 'em, I reckon they’d look pretty cool.
I’ve got the old Academy Jagdpanther in 1/25 scale. It has individual link tracks. Someone also gave me the RC guts to an Academy Panther along with the directions. It is basically the same kit below the hull.
Ok…maybe I should try that after the Leopold. Thanks!!!
Sproingy-boingy Brian? Can we enter that into the modelers dictionary?
That’s why I never complain when my wife says “You modelers have your own distinct world”.

Yes, I believe “sproingy-boingy” should most definitely be entered into the “Modeler’s Lexicon!”
Ya’ll knew exactly what I meant, didn’t ya?
And there ya have it!
