Hi guys and girls! I am new here, and I am building this:

The pump is where I am having a problem. I need a scale lawn mower engine, and my skills are not developed enough to scratch build one.

Hey LtMac313, I don’t know if this will help you much but it might help focus your search. I was looking through an online catalog the other day when I saw a 1/24 compressor kit. I remember looking at it and thinking “that looks just like my shop compressor except for the Briggs and Straton engine”. If I remember where I saw it I let you know but you might start looking at 1/24 automotive diorama stuff.

There are a couple diecast models out that have a scale lawnmower included. Canadian Tire had a fifty something jeep flatrack promo with a lawmower on the bed. It was made by Liberty Classics. I believe it may also have been disguised in John Deere livery. I bought a damaged one (reduceed for quick sale) just to get the motor off the lawnmower which I used on a scratch built plate packer.
The latest TSC flyer is pushing a 42 International pickup diecast with a lawnmower in the box. Both these models are 1/25th scale.
I hope one of these diecasts could suply you with what your after
