1/24 MPC/Airfix JU 87B Finished

This is part 2 of biting off more than I can chew.

This will be my tribute to the late Dan Jayne. This will be constructed as a cut away build and I will attempt to present it in a style that he did.

Stay tuned folks.

Joe

Wow, a cut away! This is going to be a very exciting build.

Toshi

Wow, how old is this kit? I’m having flashbacks of building something like this as a kid back in the late 70’s? Looking forward to see the progress photos!

Kevin

Very cool. I’ll definately be watching.

BK

Another Joe cutaway! Really looking forward to this one!

Well, its a Stuka, so you have my attention obvioulsy. Nice to have seen a few of these latley and another one is very welcome.

Many many thanks for all looking in.

I just hope I can do it and him justice.

Joe

Looking forward to seeing this giant be built!

Me too, me too.

Joe

Sorry, Joe. Didn’t mean that you have to rush it. This is the kind of project that takes time and patience. I just meant that I’m looking forward to seeing your progress. I love this plane and 1/24 is gigantic.

I remember seeing this kit in the hobby shop when I was a kid. The box alone was almost as tall as I was then. That was an unobtainable dream for me then and still too far out of reach these days.

Take your time Joe.

Geez, I feel old now! LOL I remember this kit at Orange Blossom Hobbies in Miami in the 70’s. I believe it has some really good details specially in the pit and the engine. I don’t know how accurate it is but it will make an impressive display.

Especially if you add some piping and conduits. At that scale there is so much room for adding scratch built goodness.

Wingspread? Haven’t heard that term in awhile. Looking forward to seeing your build!

Oh my Joe,this is going to be impressive !! Will you give it the full “Joe” treatment ?

Thank you all for looking in. No worries, no plan to rush through this. And yes it will be getting the full “Dan” treatment.

Joe

Who’s got the popcorn?!!!

Fermis many thanks for looking in.

Will start on this soon.

Joe

Joe, it will be interesting to see this one in cut out.

Here is my one I started a little while ago.
