Does anyone know of kits that size? I’d like to put it on the helipad.
Thanks,
Dave

1/144 is the smallest I know of.
Hi,
Although not really a “kit” Shapeways does have a handful of 1/200 scale helos that you might be able to use, including an A109, an EC-350, and an Osprey.

There’s a company named L’Arsenal that sells a lot of naval accessories in various metric scales. Highly recommended. I looked and they don’t have helicopters in the scale, basically because neither the Yamato or Bismark did, but they have a LOT of Photo Etch railings, stairs and ladders, both kit specific and generic. That could really add to your model.
Also check out Shapeways. They have a super eclectic product line, basically they connect needs with resources in the 3D printing world. They add new stuff on almost a daily basis.

Good luck
I bought a set of 1/200 PE railings from Gold Medal Models. I’ve read that the railings included with the kit can leave you short. Thanks for the link. I’ll check it out.

Thanks. Just ordered a couple of those. Cheap enough.

OMG ! ! !
You are tackling That Monster ? Wow . She’s a handful , isn’t she ? Takes up a fair amount of shelf real estate too !
Just working up the courage right now.

Hi;
I do hope you will let us in on the build . It is a monster box full of parts . But it can be unusual and beautiful for what it is . I just wish I could’ve gotten the Giant excavator and further back , the Nuclear reactor . Oh Well . T.B.
Cool, let us know hw everything turns out,
Pat
Helicopters that usually go to Northsea rigs are S-92, S-61, EC225 and in olden daze the Bell 212.
Hope that helps.
Yes, very helpful. Thanks
Dave
Not a complete list by any means. Google offshore helicopter types and hit images.
Actualy I doubt you can find a S-92 or a Puma / EC225 but you may be able to find a Sea King with would resemble a S-61 so much at that scale that with an civilian paint scheme no one would notice.
I have pics of the S-92, S-61 and EC225. Can’t find a 1/200, but these at least look a little like them, until I can find the right one that doesn’t cost $200.[:O]
