I started this project on April 2013, by collecting all the needed reference, diagrams, technical details etc. Τhe CAD design & 3D printing process was completed around early July 2013. My goal was to build the model and present it to Wing Commander Ken Wallis, in order to make him happy.
Although the completed model was published here only few days ago, the model was actually finished since early September 2013, right on the day of his death. Unfortunately, I was informed that Ken Wallis passed away on the exact day this scale model had just been completed. I only wish I would start the project only few weeks - or days - before, so I could present it to him, before closing his eyes.
II built the British Army version of the James Bond “Little Nellie”. I wired it, added the British figure from an old Tamiya 1/24 Centurion I had in my stash, and added the seatbelts from Eduard. Fun little project.
