1/16th Trumpeter T34/76 Update Pg3. Dec 2

Hi, terry here, I know its been a while since posting last but I have been slowly bashing at this for some time now. Just a few pics …

All comments welcome.

Regards,

Terry.

Hi Terry, where is this tank located at? [swg]

Looks sweet, nice work! [tup]

Uh, are those walk arounds, or did you build/paint that?

That is a serious question. I don’t think I have seen anything so lifelike, not to slight anyone else’s work around here, everyone is better than me, but that…

Thanks guys, whats there is almost four years of building. I will add links to the build later on this evening.

Terry.

some more pic’s…

Hi Terry,

!http://th85.photobucket.com/albums/k45/pentzouli/smileys/th_option_23.gifI think we can all pack up and go home now…if you’re not at the top of the this food chain, I’d really like to know who is!

!http://th224.photobucket.com/albums/dd5/lilmissmontana/smileys%20not/th_smiley-itsabouttime.jpgSeriously, I’ve been wondering where you’d gotten to with this project; but, obviously a miracle of this magnitude cannot be accomplished overnight. Beautiful paint and weathering. Needless to say, I am extremely impressed. This has to be the ultimate in creative professionalism. What an extremely fabulous investment in modeling; almost as long as WWII! (and I thought six months was long!)

This is a perfect example of what I believe; patience and persistence are extremely valuable tools in this hobby.

Now, it’s time for me to go and find a teeny tiny rock and crawl under it; I just hope it won’t be too crowded ‘cause I’ll most likely run into some of my other !http://th20.photobucket.com/albums/b244/Spiritis/Emoticons/th_Unexpected.gifforum friends there. If anyone beats me, I’m callin’ shotgun…

!http://th272.photobucket.com/albums/jj184/befje/smileys/th_droolsmiley.gifWell I can die now, it’s OK; for surely I have witnessed the best.
!http://imgcash2.imageshack.us/img213/8080/36192or9.gifOh god, more pictures coming up… oh man… dialup; I’m dying here.

!http://th214.photobucket.com/albums/cc149/trixiko/Smileys/th_36_1_44.gifMy eyeballs runneth over…

Thanks Disastermaster, I didn’t really want to keep posting small progression’s, I’ll be aiming to have the engine mounted before thet newyear, but I must admit that if it doesn’t happen then I won’t be crying about it.

I can go and work on other parts of the build. I trying to find the gun pic’s to post as a reminder of what is done there so far.

Thanks again,

Terry.

The gun… I bought the brass bolts for the mantlet, cost a bundle, the screws on the gun are actual watch screws… nearly killed me drilling theh pilot holes and placing them in. They are really tiny…

Thanks again to all for viewing and replying.

Regards,

Terry Burke.

Are these pics of the model or the real thing? Geeze That looks so real! Ack! [bow]

Amazing work in those photos! I gotta go lay down now, they wore my eyes out! [bow]

That’s it I quit !!! why should I build anything /

It looks like photo’s of the real thing, unbelievable,FSM should do a complete gallery and article on this one when you finish.

Some of us build models…others produce art

more pic’s

These are older shots of the scratch built fuel cells and batteries, the batteries came in at about 240 pieces. THey too a few days to build.

Your batteries are about 240 pieces? That is a major kit in itself and your scratching them in 1/16. Oh boy. I am afraid to ask but to you have other things you have worked on as well? You got me taking a shot of Vodka and feeling pretty tiny wiyh my 1/35 stuff. WOW! Datsbidanyia Baby![:O]

hey, sfcmac, yeah I worked on tons of other stuff. I love doing science fiction models.

I only work on models about three nights a week, probably no more than about 25 hours a week. I seem to be developing Repetitive strain injuries in the arms, and some form of arthritis in some old injuries in the fingers. I did buy the trumpeteer M16 half track but I am not touching it until this is finished.

While working on this I did have an awful lot of help from the good brother Treadwell. His T34/85 has blown some major awards in his direction.

Terry.

That’s for sure. So has his M4 Sherman! ( hi tread! [:P] )

By God that Sherman was mindblowing…Cheers Tread…

Terry.

Terry, like everyine else, I run out of superlatives when trying to describe mye awe at this incredible build!

Just the most amazing commitment to excellence that I can recall!

Can you give us some sense of scale in your next photo update? Maybe post a pic of some of pieces next to something recognizable in 1/35?

I’m sincerely curious about the sheer size of this thing?

Soldier on, Master! It’s truly amazing!

Thanks Doog, all I can find on my photobucket at theh moment is this shot of one of theh scratchbuild gate valves against a 5 cent euro coin.

THanks for looking.

Terry.
