[:D] Whoo Hoo![:D]
Just got this email from Stevens International regarding the 1/16 T-34 series:
“Yes, the non R/C version will have the interior you saw.
STEVENS INTERNATIONAL”
This tells me that they’re also going to do an RC version! I don’t know the kit numbers, but I’m sure we’ll find out in the future. That’s good news for all, I think. I’ll try to find out kit numbers and post them later.

That’s great news!
Thanks for the Poniatowski [:)]

Yup, it’s described as being a “full R/C version” (I’m not sure what that means).
How should we feel about that? On the one hand, it’s fine that there will be a R/C. On the other hand, what accuracy comprimises did they have to make in order to make the hull parts R/C-friendly?
Hopefully not as many as they’d have to make for 1/35th, but still. Just look at how the R/C curse affected the new Dragon kits – according to FSM, the M1A2 has got all kinds of R/C alterations that make the kit look toylike.
Good points Larry. I hope it won’t affect 1/16 scale too much. I’ve always had a problem with motorization… I like to interiorize many of my models and it’s always a pain filling in holes, cutting off electric motor mounts, etc. Of course, there are a lot of folks who LOVE motorization, so I think it’s worth the extra work I do so a kit is more successful.
However, if they can’t motorize or make RC without getting toylike, well, then the line is drawn.
My opinion.
