Here is a recent build of mine, I have changed the shades of paint on yellow and green as at the later stages of the war a lot of painting was done in the field and was diluted with almost any thing including eurine which undoultably changed colour shades. This kit is bult straight from the box and has only got minimal extra detailing.I have however replicated rolled steel texture, cut steel texture , and weld seams with dremel and soldering iron, took ages. The whole thing was then coated in red oxide as all of the running gear is metal as is the chassis. This i also left as the red for the camo as if the tank emerged from the factory in primer.I have never run this tank as there is no radio equipment installed but i have tried to make it look as though it has a few miles on the clock using washes, filters, drybrushing and the use or a very soft full grafite pencil. It also has had the oil treatment. It took a couple of weeks to fully weather this piece, keeping going back to it day after day but it does look like this is aheavy piece of steel rather than a plastic (top half) kit.Its looks awsome in the flesh i just hope the photo,s do it some justice,Cheers. Andy.Ps the gun has since been filled, painted and had cover made for muzzle.
