1/144 Launch Tower and Space Shuttle complex

I was just in my basement looking over my models. saw my 1/144 scale Revell Launch tower and Space Shuttle model. I bought it several years ago at a “Goodwill Thrift Store” I think for $5 0r $10. Wouldn’t mind selling it but it is so big a box I can just about imagine what shipping would be and how to pack it. As most of parts are loose.May use it for parts yet although I’m kind of on edge to that but I have an idea what to use some parts for.

If you want to make some money with that, put it on EBay. If it is complete and in relitive good shape, I have seen them go for $100+. And the buyer pays shipping. Just a thought.

Here is a link to one on Ebay now.

i’ll take it…but ur probably willing to make money, so u probably dont want the original price for it =]

i could work out a price with you, but it can’t be really expensive, i’m looking to build a diorama of Columbia on the launch pad right before it broke up coming home from orbit. i’m working on kinda a small budget here, so…yeah, can’t be majorly epensive

Just to let anyone know, don’t think I want tom get rid of the model right now/

Hello fellow space modelers, I may have some more info for any one interested
in the shuttle launch tower. I have tried looking myself for this revell model,
but with no luck. But I have found out it’s not to scale.

I have spent the last 5 yrs constructing from scatch out of evergreen platic a
mobile launch comlpex at 1/144 scale for a monogram saturn v. I have seen the brass mlp from launch complex models, It’s great, but a bit late for me. I have collected & have many detailed pics & blue prints I have found all over the net.

At the moment my model is 90% complete & stands over 1 meter tall. So If you need a hand drop a line.

id love to see some pics of it…ive been doing a 1/72 complex from scratch. the revell one sure is out of scale. i was using it for my original design when i started my project years ago and it caused me so many problems.

I was blown away when I looked up your shuttle complex. That is a great & awesome achivement, even if it is not finnished. I can understand some of the problems you have had. I’m my own worst enemy when it comes to being accurate & to detail. I will try my best to put some pics out of my little 1/144 lut & saturn v hehe.

I can honestly say I’ve spent about $300 dollars (aust) on evergreen plastic for my tower ( and still going ), I cant imagine yours, my god. Great effort thow. question for ya.

Where on earth are you goin to but the bloody thing when ya finnished???.

Are the pics and blue prints in a format where you can share them? If so, I would love to get a copy of them.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

I have copies of every page of the instruction manual for the 1/144 Launch Tower and Space Shuttle complex on my blog. If I ever get the time to complete the model I will include photos as well. If anyone wants a good deal on this model let me know. It bid up to $240 on eBay and did not meet reserve.
