1/144 F-15E kitbash question

Since the older dragon kit has poor fit I was going to add the fuel tanks from it to an LS kit that I started years ago. Any physical differences between a C and E aircraft that would stop me? It looks like the cockpit areas are pretty close dimensionally and the fuselage is about the same length. The LS kit has enough room to add the back seater. Thoughts? Also anybody build the Ben Hobby 1/100 F-15E? i like to stick to 1/144 if possible but it might make sense to just get one of these?

I believe you would need a taller canopy to properly represent am ā€œEā€. The rear of the canopy is higher to accomodate the WSO.

I see that now. The Dragon kit includes a fairing for the rear of the canopy to make it fit properly. There is an optional fairing for C models. Anyone build the Revell kit with the tiger meet decals?
